One Word Film Project

In the one word film project every group was assigned a word and we had to make a film project using the editing skills, shots, and angles we learned about in class that expressed the word we were given.

Me and my groups word was pessimistic. We decided that we were going to show the word "pessimistic" by creating a story about a girl in school who gets a call from her mom. She then freaks out thinking that her mom is calling for a bad reason. She nervously walks outside after class as she then sees that her mom just wanted to show her what she made for breakfast and she was freaking out for no reason.

During the brainstorming process I tried to think of how to use as many different shots as possible. I wanted every shot I used to have meaning. I also tried to think of the best way to express the word I was given.

My storyboard helped me pre-visualize my project by helping me see exactly where I wanted each shot to be. It also helped me a lot already knowing what I wanted each shot to look like before I started filming.

The editing source that I used was Adobe Express.

What was done well was using specific types of shots to mean different things. My group also worked very well together and we all evenly did the same amount of work. We all shared ideas and all put our input in editing the final product of our project. Next time I would like to improve by trying to use more advanced editing techniques.
