CCR Production Ideas
Hi! As soon as I was told about the CCR portion of this project I started to brainstorm. What is the best way to go about this while making it entertaining, professional, and that meets the criteria of all the things that need to be in the CCR. So first I was thinking what questions do I put together that would be the best. I am going to put question 1 and question 2 together. For the other one I am going to have question 3 and 4 together.
One idea that I have is doing a talkshow. I can decorate my living room and create a poster to put in the background which would be the name of the show that I can create. I can make the person who is the "host" be my mom, dad, or sister. They can have a desk that I put things on it to make it a typical host. I can add a mug, lots of books in the background, and possible add a microphone.
It can be something like Jimmy Fallons set except it would obviously be filmed in a house rather then a studio.
On the other hand if the talk show idea doesn't work I can do a podcast and I can be the guest. These things might seem similar but the thing that would be the main difference would be the setting. Instead of having it very professional it can be very laid back. I could have it on my couch and have the host of the podcast and me sitting on different sides of the couch and I can buy a microphone and me and the host can each have one. For both the talkshow idea and the podcast idea both of them would start off by introducing me as the creator of the "new and popular film Catalyst."
Another idea that I have is the interviews that are like "answering most googled questions about me" except I can have it be answering most googled questions about my opening. I can print it out on a board like they do in the real interviews and have all of the questions covered and one by one I rip the plastic coverings off and answer the questions. The background can be very plain to not distract the audience and have all of the focus be on me and the answer to the questions.
This next idea is completely made up by me and I am not sure that it would work BUT, it would be me sitting in a room and I am the only one that is in the camera and there can be a "interviewer" asking me questions. The name could be something like "answering questions in 20 seconds" then after each question a timer appears on the screen and it is a clock counting down from 20. I feel that this could be interesting.
The director commentary is very good for questions 3 and 4 in my opinion. I could have me sitting with a empty background that looks very professional. When questions are answered I can move up the footage of my face talking to the top corner and have other clips shown. I can show things like my blogs, behind the scene footage, and more.
There is many things to think about while making this. I want it to be as good as possible and I am doing many things to prepare for it.
The 2 ideas that I am leaning towards choosing are the podcast idea for answering questions one and two. For questions 3 and 4 I think I am going to do directors commentary.
