MY PROJECT
Summary -
After thinking long and hard about the film opening I have finally decided the way I want to go about it. The film opening I am creating is a phycological horror. The plot is about a person who accidentally kills someone who is very close to them in a car crash. The drivers guilt from texting and driving is so strong that they feel as if they have woken up in the person they killed body. This opening explores a lot of feeling of guilt and not being able to change the past. It starts off very happy and quickly drastically changes.
An inspiration for this film is the film "Black Swan." The goal of this opening is to really portray the feeling of how guilt can take over someone. This opening is going to leave a lot of interpretation up to the audience and how they view it. It ends as the driver wakes up and looks in the mirror to see that they are in the victims body. This is also a type of fantasy as its up to the audience if the bodies really switched, it is all in the persons head, or it is haunted. If this film were to go on this would explore all of these type of questions but as for the opening, it leaves the viewers with many questions. That is exactly what me and my group are going for.
